ZYN Espressino brings coffee flavour to the nicotine pouch market

Nicotine pouch brand ZYN has added a new coffee flavour to its range as the pouch format extends beyond the existing mint, citrus and berry flavours already available.

ZYN was created by Scandinavian snus brand Swedish Match for the US market and has passed the country’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA)’s stringent testing and approved the message that “using General Snus instead of cigarettes puts you at a lower risk of mouth cancer, heart disease, lung cancer, stroke, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis.”

ZYN is available in a variety of strengths – 1.5 mg, 3 mg and 6 mg – and existing flavours include Spearmint, Cool Mint and Citrus. The new Espressino flavour provides a taste of “freshly roasted coffee, with notes of chocolate, nougat and vanilla”, it says.

Nicotine pouches are in growth in the UK with other key brands including JTI’s Nordic Spirit and Imperial’s ZoneX.

Due to the lack of vapour or smoke associated with nicotine pouches, they are available to use in pubs and restaurants, at work and even on fights – a key selling point for manufacturers.
