ZYN nicotine pouches will gain prominent exposure in global motorsport after Philip Morris International (PMI) confirmed an expanded partnership with Ducati Corse, placing the brand on MotoGP liveries at selected races from the 2026 season.
The move marks a significant step in PMI’s strategy to promote its smoke-free portfolio, with ZYN described by the company as the world’s leading nicotine pouch brand. The branding will appear on Ducati’s bikes and associated team assets during certain rounds of the MotoGP calendar, targeting what PMI characterises as an overwhelmingly adult global audience.
PMI said the partnership builds on a relationship with Ducati Corse that dates back to 2003, when the Italian manufacturer entered MotoGP. The collaboration has evolved alongside PMI’s shift away from combustible cigarettes toward reduced-risk alternatives, including oral nicotine, heated tobacco and e-vapour products.
“Across its racing history, Ducati has repeatedly challenged convention—developing groundbreaking concepts and reshaping modern MotoGP with innovations that have set new performance standards for the sport. This bold new chapter reinforces a spirit of relentless innovation and unforgettable experiences that has defined the partnership for decades,” said Nikolaus Ricketts, President, Oral Products at Philip Morris International.
“As we deepen our partnership with Ducati Corse, we’re working to accelerate the move beyond cigarettes—and we want adult nicotine consumers, including ZYN consumers, to share in the excitement at every turn.”
PMI is also bringing ZYN into Formula 1 this season through an expanded partnership with Scuderia Ferrari and the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. ZYN branding is set to feature on Ferrari’s F1 liveries at selected races during the 2026 campaign, having made its debut at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 7 December 2025.
PMI reiterated that its marketing approach is centred on responsible promotion, stating that MotoGP offers a platform to communicate with adult audiences while maintaining safeguards against underage exposure. The company emphasised that its smoke-free products, including ZYN, are intended for legal-age consumers and are not risk-free.
ZYN has also gained regulatory recognition in the United States, where certain products have been authorised by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as appropriate for the protection of public health.
