Geekvape and Geek Bar have secured a combined 14 international design awards in 2025, underlining a sustained push into user-led product design and materials innovation rather than what the brabds describe as a one-off “award harvest”.

Across the year, Geekvape picked up 10 awards, with Geek Bar taking four, spanning multiple global judging systems including Germany’s Red Dot and iF Design Awards, the MUSE Design Awards, International Design Awards (IDA), European Product Design Award and the Paris Design Awards.

Geekvape, which last year celebrated its 10th anniversary by planting its flag on the summit of Mount Everest, noted that multi-system recognition of this kind remains relatively rare in the vaping category, where accolades are often concentrated within a single awards programme.

Award-winning products span durability, modularity and sustainability

Among Geekvape’s winners, the Aegis Legend 5 received a European Product Design Award – Honorable Mention for combining rugged construction with refined ergonomics. The Wenax M Starter Kit claimed both a Red Dot Design Award and a European Product Design Award, recognised for its modular approach and the use of bio-based materials in the battery compartment.

The Wenax Q 2 was honoured at the US-based IDA for its clean lines and distinctive “smile curve” detailing, while Soul 2 secured a MUSE Design Award with a minimalist, tech-forward aesthetic aimed at everyday users.

Geek Bar’s award haul included a Paris Design Awards Silver for Spark, noted for its compact form factor and interactive elements, and a MUSE Design Award for Pulse X, which features a curved 3D display designed to make battery and e-liquid status more intuitive.

Sustainability also featured strongly. The Minimore e-cigarette won an iF Design Award for its composite shell made from cork oak bark and resin, while the Cube Modular e-cigarette was recognised for a magnetic, expandable design intended to reduce waste and extend product life.

Design embedded early in development

According to Geekvape, the awards reflect a long-term strategy in which design is embedded at the earliest stages of product development rather than added late in the engineering process. Design teams work alongside product, marketing and sales functions from project inception, combining trend analysis with on-site market observation and user interviews to identify unmet needs.

This approach influenced products such as Geek Bar Pulse X, where demand for clearer device status indicators led to the introduction of a curved display and animated visual feedback, turning functional information into a core part of the user experience.

Prototyping plays a central role, with rapid 3D-printed models produced within 48 hours to test ergonomics and usability, followed by high-fidelity appearance samples to validate materials, finishes and manufacturability before mass production.

Continuous feedback loop

Post-launch user feedback is fed directly into subsequent iterations. Insights gathered from real-world use of earlier Aegis models, for example, informed refinements in Legend 5, including improved grip comfort, recalibrated button placement for outdoor use and enhanced screen readability in bright conditions.

Both brands say this iterative, feedback-driven process is key to ensuring upgrades feel intuitive rather than cosmetic.

Long-term focus

Geekvape and Geek Bar position the 2025 awards as a milestone rather than an endpoint. The brands say they will continue to invest in user-centred design, materials research and cross-functional collaboration, with the aim of driving longer-term product evolution and raising design standards across the vaping sector.
