Voopoo launches DRAG 6 mod with new chipset

Voopoo has officially launched its latest flagship box mod, the DRAG 6, introducing a new chipset, upgraded tank system and redesigned controls aimed at experienced vapers.

Unveiled on 4 March, the device is the newest addition to the manufacturer’s long-running DRAG series, which has become one of the most recognised mod platforms in the open-system vaping category.

At the centre of the new device is Voopoo’s GENE TT 3.0 chip, designed to deliver more stable power output and consistent flavour performance. The company said the chipset maintains stable wattage even when battery levels drop below 10 per cent.

The DRAG 6 is powered by an integrated 4400mAh battery and supports an output range of 5W to 220W. According to Voopoo, the built-in battery design improves safety and allows for a more compact body by removing the need for removable cells.

The device is paired with the UFORCE-X Tank II, which features what the company describes as a “golden triangle airflow structure” designed to deliver smoother airflow and enhanced flavour. The tank also includes a top-fill system and top-side airflow intended to reduce leakage.

Tank capacity is 5ml for the standard version and 2ml for the TPD-compliant version aimed at European markets. A rotary airflow adjustment dial allows users to fine-tune draw resistance, supporting both direct-to-lung (DTL) and mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping styles.

Voopoo has also introduced a new precision control wheel for adjusting wattage, alongside a capacitive unlock sensor designed to prevent accidental activation. The device can also be set to alternative lock modes, including button-based locking or remaining permanently unlocked.

The launch follows an “Early Bird” promotional campaign by Voopoo, which began last week and runs until 7 April. The initiative includes discount vouchers and prize giveaways, with the company offering increased winning chances on the official launch day.

The DRAG range has been a cornerstone of Voopoo’s product line since the first model debuted with ultra-fast firing speeds and a focus on high-powered performance. Successive generations have introduced new chipset functions, tank designs and coil technologies aimed at advanced users.

While much of the global vape market has shifted towards disposables and pod systems in recent years, high-powered mods continue to attract a dedicated enthusiast audience and remain an important category for vape retailers.

With the DRAG 6, Voopoo is aiming to build on that legacy by combining higher power output, refined airflow design and new control features in a single device.

The company is expected to showcase the new mod at major international vape exhibitions this spring, including Vapexpo Paris and TPE26.
