Vapers becoming “more brand loyal” says Bestway boss

Retailers who do not stock the right vape product for a customer increasingly risk seeing them “shop around”, according to the managing director of Bestway Cash & Carry, Dawood Pervez.

In exclusive comments to Vape Business he said: “Evidence suggests that consumers are becoming more brand loyal, and they will shop around to find their preferred product whether that be brand, flavour or strength. If they don’t find what they are looking for, they will move on to the competition.”

The company is encouraging retailers to create a depth of range to cater to these vapers’ needs and says its own 30 percent category growth highlights this is an opportunity which can pay dividends.

Pervez said: “It is for that reason it will become more important that retailers offer a wide range of products at a competitive price, with regular offers such as ‘three x 10ml liquids for £10’. To support our retail customers, we carry a good range from selected suppliers who have strong brand recognition within the marketplace offering [retailers] great quality, flavours with a strong POR.”

Bestway Cash & Carry depots stock a range that brings together mainstream and specialist brands, a balance it says should be carried through to stores themselves.

“Within Bestway we have a focused range that gives the retailer the breadth of products and brands their customers are looking for, including the vape offerings from all of the tobacco manufacturers such as Logic Compact, LQD, myblu and Vype that all are available for delivery nationally and in 23 hub depots,” Pervez said.

He added the firm also stocks a range of specialist from the best-selling Vape store ranges such as; JUUL, DOT, Vampire Vapes, Liberty Flights, Aquavape and Edge – some of which are exclusive to the independent channel.
